ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Flag day (computing)

Flag day (computing) is a day when the rules or expectations in a piece of software change. It's like the software is getting a new rule or a different way of working. For example, a program might need to make a calculation differently, or a website might start showing you different content. On flag day, the software suddenly changes, like a flag flying in the wind to announce the new change!
