Flag of the United Kingdom

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen the flag of the United Kingdom? It’s the one with three different shapes on it - a red cross, a white X, and a red X.

The red cross is called the St. George’s Cross and it represents England. The white X is called the St. Andrew's Cross and it represents Scotland. The red X is called the St. Patrick’s Cross and it represents Northern Ireland.

Now, these three shapes were put together to make one flag to represent the whole United Kingdom, which includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. So when you see the flag, you know that it represents all of those places.

The flag is also called the Union Jack. That’s because it symbolizes the union, or coming together, of the different countries in the United Kingdom.

So next time you see the flag of the United Kingdom, you’ll know what each part of it represents and why it’s so special!
