Flash pasteurization

Have you heard of milk? It's a drink that comes from cows and can be very good for you. But sometimes, there can be bad bacteria in the milk that can make you sick. That's where flash pasteurization comes in!

Pasteurization is a way to kill bad bacteria in food and drinks so we can eat and drink them safely. Flash pasteurization is just a fancy way of doing this very quickly.

First, the milk is heated up to a very high temperature for a very short amount of time. This kills all the bad bacteria that could make us sick. Then, it's quickly cooled back down to make sure we can still drink it without burning our tongues!

This process happens in a special machine called a pasteurizer. It's kind of like a big oven that the milk gets heated up in.

And that's it! Flash pasteurization keeps us safe from bad bacteria in our milk so we can enjoy it without getting sick.
