Float switch

A float switch is kind of like a little robot that helps control things like water level or electricity. It has a little arm that floats on top of the water or liquid, and when the liquid rises or falls, it tells the robot what to do.

For example, let's pretend you have a bathtub that you don't want to overfill with water. You can put a float switch inside the bathtub, and when the water gets too high, the float switch will tell the robot to turn off the water.

Or maybe you want to make sure your fish tank always has enough water in it. You can put a float switch inside the tank, and when the water level gets too low, the float switch tells the robot to turn on a pump or add more water.

Basically, a float switch is a little helper that tells other machines what to do based on the level of liquid it is floating in.
