Fly Tyer

A fly tyer is someone who creates special lures to catch fish. They use a special kind of string called "fly tying thread" to make the lures, and add things like feathers, fur, and tiny beads to make them look like bugs or small animals that fish like to eat.

To make a fly, the tyer puts the thread on a hook and then starts adding all the little bits and pieces to it until it looks just right. This can take a lot of time and patience, but the end result is a tiny work of art that is designed to trick fish into thinking it's a tasty snack. Once the fly is finished, it's tied onto a fishing line, and when it's cast into the water, the tyer hopes that a fish will take the bait and get caught.

Fly tying is a fun hobby for people who love to fish, and it's a great way to get creative while also enjoying the great outdoors. Not only do fly tyers get to make their own lures, but they also get to test them out and see if they actually work. So if you want to catch some fish and have fun doing it, maybe you could try fly tying too!
