Force of infection

The force of infection is like the power of a disease. It describes how quickly a disease can spread from one person to another. It works like this: if a person has the disease and comes in contact with someone who hasn't had it yet, the disease can spread from them to the other person. The stronger the force of infection, the more quickly and easily the disease can spread.
