Form constant

Form constants are numbers, usually written in fractions, that help scientists identify different shapes of molecules. Sometimes scientists don't know what the shape of a molecule is, and form constants help them figure it out. Form constants are like pieces of a puzzle, and when all the pieces fit together, the scientist can see what shape the molecule is.
