Fossil fuels are sources of energy like coal, oil, and natural gas. A fossil fuel lobby is group of people whose job is to try to influence governments to pass laws that will help the fossil fuel industry. For example, the lobby might try to convince governments to make it easier for fossil fuel companies to operate, or to limit taxes and regulations on fossil fuels. They usually do this by talking to government officials, paying for advertising, and giving out money and other bonuses.
