Fossil fuel divestment

Fossil fuel divestment is when people and companies stop investing money in companies that make money from fossil fuels, like oil and coal. It's a way to encourage those companies to stop burning and using fossil fuels, which bring harmful things like air pollution, climate change, and other environmental problems. People who divest their money also don't want to be seen as supporting or benefiting from the companies' activities, so they take their money out of those companies.
