Fox hunting legislation

Hey kiddo, have you ever heard of fox hunting? It's when people go out on horses and with their dogs to chase after and hunt foxes in the countryside. There's a lot of debates about whether or not it's a nice thing to do to the foxes.

A long time ago, in the UK, lots of people used to go fox hunting all the time. But some people started to worry that it wasn't really fair to the foxes, since they couldn't really defend themselves against people on horses and with dogs.

So the government decided to make some rules about fox hunting to try and make it fairer for the foxes. First, they said that people couldn't use dogs to hunt foxes anymore. Instead, they had to use fake foxes to train their dogs. Then, they said that you could only use horses and riders to chase the fox, but they couldn't catch it at the end.

Overall, the new guidelines were meant to make it still possible for people to enjoy fox hunting, but without causing harm to the foxes. However, there are still a lot of people who like to go traditional fox hunting with dogs, and they don't like the new rules. So the debate about fox hunting continues to this day.
