Free soviets

Free soviets were people in Russia and other countries who wanted more personal freedom and democracy. They wanted the government to be made up of people from different parts of the country who would be elected by the people. They wanted to be able to choose what kind of government they wanted and to make their own decisions. They also wanted to be able to move around in the country without the government telling them they couldn't.
