ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

FreeCAD

FreeCAD is like a magic drawing book that helps people make 3D models on a computer. It's like building a castle out of Lego blocks, but on your computer screen.

Just like you draw pictures with colors, FreeCAD lets you make 3D shapes with lines, curves, and surfaces. You can make all sorts of things like furniture, toys, and buildings.

FreeCAD works like a toolbox. There are different tools for different jobs. Imagine having a box of crayons with every color in the rainbow, except instead of colors, there are tools that help you make 3D objects.

Some of the tools in FreeCAD include a "draw line" tool, a "draw circle" tool, and a "make cube" tool. You can use these tools to create the shapes you need for your project.

Once you have made your 3D model, you can look at it from any angle on your computer screen. You can zoom in or out, and even move around inside the model to see what it would be like to be inside the object.

FreeCAD is a computer program that helps people make cool things in 3D on their computer. With it, you can use lots of different tools to draw lines, curves and shapes. You can make all sorts of things, and then move around inside of them, too!
