ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Full plaid

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a big blanket that has lots of different colors and lines going all over it? That's kind of like what a full plaid is.

Plaid is a pattern that has criss-crossing lines in different colors. When we say "full plaid", we mean that the pattern uses lots of different colors and lines that all cross over each other, just like on that blanket.

Because there are so many different colors and lines involved, it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming or busy to look at. But some people really like the look of it and think it looks cool!

Next time you see a plaid blanket or shirt, take a closer look and see if you can spot all the different colors and lines. It's kind of like a big, colorful maze!
