Gasoline direct injection

Gasoline Direct Injection is a way of getting fuel into an engine. Instead of squirting fuel into the engine intake like a regular engine does, the fuel is squirted directly into the engine's combustion chamber. This way, the fuel is mixed with the air that's going into the cylinder and the mixture is more efficient, so the engine makes more power and uses less fuel.
