Gastrostomy

Gastrostomy is when a special hole is made in your belly to help you eat and drink. When you have this hole, you don't have to swallow food or drink like you normally would with your mouth. Instead, a special tube is inserted into the hole in your belly, which goes straight into your stomach. This allows food and drink to go right into your tummy, which helps you get the nutrition you need. It's kind of like having a secret door that goes straight to your stomach!
