ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gender neutrality

Gender neutrality is when people try to treat everyone, no matter what their gender is, as equal. It means that we try not to assume things about people or treat them differently because of their gender. This includes using gender-neutral language, like saying "they" instead of "he" or "she" or using gender-neutral bathrooms so that anyone can use them regardless of their gender.

Think of it like playing a game with friends. Everyone gets to play and have fun, no matter if they are a boy or a girl or something else. It's important to be kind to everyone and give them the same opportunities, just like in the game. By being gender-neutral, we can make sure everyone feels welcome and respected.
