Have you ever taken a picture with your mom or dad's phone that showed where you were when you took the picture? That's called a geotagged photo!
Basically, your phone or camera puts a little marker on the photo to show exactly where you were standing when you took the picture. This marker is called a "geotag." It uses something called GPS (short for Global Positioning System) to figure out your location on Earth.
So if you take a picture at the park, for example, the geotag might show that you were at "Central Park" or give the exact coordinates of where you were standing.
Geotagged photos can be really cool because you can remember exactly where you took them. But it's also important to be careful with geotagging, because sometimes you might not want other people to know exactly where you are all the time. So always make sure you know when your photos have geotags and whether to keep them or turn them off.
