Gombeen man

Okay, so imagine you have a friend who always wants things from you, like your toys or your snacks. But they never give anything back in return. They just keep taking and taking. That's kind of like what a gombeen man is.

A gombeen man is someone who takes advantage of people and tries to make money off of them by lending them money at really high interest rates. So, say you want to borrow some money for a new toy, but you don't have enough. A gombeen man might offer to lend you the money, but then charge you way more than they should for interest. And if you can't pay it back right away, they might keep adding more and more interest until you owe them way more than you should.

Basically, a gombeen man is someone who tries to make money off of others by taking advantage of them and not being fair. It's not a nice thing to do, and it's important to always be fair and kind to others.
