Political corruption

Political corruption happens when people in government, who have been elected to make laws and rules for a country, or other large area, make bad decisions or accept bribes. These decisions are usually made so that these people can make money or get special favors from outside people. This means that the people making the decisions are not doing what is best for their country or the people who elected them in the first place.
