Grassmannian

Imagine you have a bunch of arrows (vectors) in a big plane. Now, let's say we want to figure out all the different ways we can put them together to make a bigger arrow (vector).

The Grassmannian is like a magic tool that helps us do this! It shows us all the different ways we can combine these arrows, and each one gives us a different direction and length.

But, instead of just showing us one big arrow or a few combinations of arrows, the Grassmannian shows us ALL the possible combinations. It's like having a giant menu of all the different vectors we could create, and we get to pick and choose the ones we want.
