ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Greco-Turkish relations

Okay kiddo, let me explain greco-turkish relations to you. Greece and Turkey are two countries that are near each other and they have a very long history of interactions. They have had wars and conflicts in the past, but now they are trying to work together and be friends.

One of the biggest issues between Greece and Turkey is their disagreement about who owns some islands and areas in the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. They also have different opinions on how to use the resources in those areas like oil and natural gas.

Another issue is about refugees. Turkey has a lot of refugees coming from other countries and some of them want to go to Greece. Greece doesn't want to take in all of the refugees because they say it would be too much for their country to handle.

Overall, Greece and Turkey are trying to work out their differences and be good neighbors. They are talking to each other and trying to come up with solutions to the problems they have. It's like when you and your friends have a argument, but you talk it out and figure out a way to be friends again.
