ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Growth factor

Hey there little one! A growth factor is like a special type of helper that helps our cells grow and develop properly. It's kind of like the way you need food to grow big and strong.

Our bodies are made up of millions and millions of cells that all work together to help our bodies function properly. And these cells need certain instructions to know what to do and how to grow. That's where growth factors come in.

They are like little messages that tell our cells what to do and how to grow in certain ways. For example, if we get a cut, our body sends growth factors to that area to help our cells grow new skin and heal the cut.

Growth factors are really important for our bodies to grow and develop properly. Without them, our cells might not know what to do and our bodies might not grow the way they're supposed to.
