Gun barrel

A gun barrel is like a long tube that sticks out of a gun. When you put bullets into a gun, the gun barrel is where the bullets go when you shoot them. The inside of the gun barrel is very smooth and has tiny little grooves that help the bullet spin as it goes out of the gun. This spinning helps the bullet go straight and hit what it's aimed at. When you shoot a gun, fire and smoke come out of the end of the gun barrel because the gunpowder inside the bullet gets very hot and explodes really fast. That explosion is what makes the bullet fly out of the gun barrel!
