Hacienda

Hacienda is a Spanish word meaning "estate". It usually refers to a large estate or ranch with lots of land, livestock, and buildings used for housing and other activities. A hacienda often had workers who lived and worked on the land, and the owner of the hacienda was responsible for looking after the estate and making sure everyone was well taken care of. Hacienda still exist in parts of Spain and Latin America.
