Haldane's Dilemma is a problem that some animals face when it comes to taking care of their young. It says that a parent animal can either put lots of time and energy in caring for just a few of its young, or have lots of young but then have to give them less attention. With the first option, the few offspring might have a better chance of surviving, but with the second option, the parent has more offspring and some could still survive, even if the parent does not have as much time to take care of them.
