Hand washing is a very important way to keep you healthy and clean. Okay, so let me ask you something first, have you ever played outside and your hands got dirty? Do you remember how mommy or daddy asked you to wash your hands before eating dinner? That's right, they wanted you to get rid of all the germs and dirt on your hands.
So, it works the same way with everyone, we all have dirt and germs on our hands and we need to wash them regularly. Even if you can't see the dirt on your hands, there are many tiny germs on them that can make you sick. And, we don't want that, do we?
Now, when you wash your hands, you need to follow some steps. First, wet your hands with water, then squirt some soap in your palm. Rub your hands together really well, and make sure to scrub all parts including the back of your hands, in between your fingers, and under your nails. Keep rubbing for at least 20 seconds while singing the happy birthday song twice.
After that, rinse your hands with water and make sure to remove all soap. Finally, dry your hands with a clean towel or tissue paper, and that's it. Your hands are now clean and free from germs!
Also, remember to wash your hands before and after you eat, after using the bathroom, after playing outside, after sneezing, and coughing. This is all to make sure you stay healthy and strong.
