Hasbarah

Okay, so have you ever played a game of telephone? You know, where you whisper a message to the person next to you and they pass it on until it gets to the last person, and usually the message is all mixed up by then? Well, Hasbarah is kind of like playing telephone but with information about Israel.

People who support Israel want to make sure that other people understand what Israel is all about and they do this by spreading information about it. Hasbarah is the term that means "explaining" or "clarifying" in Hebrew. Supporters of Israel use Hasbarah to explain to other people why they think Israel is important, or to correct misunderstandings about Israel that other people might have.

So let's say that someone hears something about Israel that isn't true, like maybe they hear that Israel is a bad country. Someone who supports Israel might use Hasbarah to explain to that person why they believe that Israel is actually a good country.

Hasbarah is like a tool that people who support Israel can use to help other people understand their point of view. It's kinda like a game of telephone, but instead of spreading a message that gets all mixed up, people are spreading information that they believe is important.
