High policing

Okay kiddo, so there are some grown-ups whose job is to keep us safe from really serious crimes like robbers, murderers, and people who do really bad things. They are called police officers.

Now, some police officers are regular officers who patrol the streets and keep an eye out for small crimes like speeding or stealing candy from a store. But there are also some police officers who do something called "high policing". This means they deal with the really big crimes that are harder to solve, like organized crime, drug trafficking, and terrorism.

High policing is different from regular policing because it requires special skills, like knowing how to track down dangerous criminals who might be hiding in other countries or working with other bad guys. High policing is also usually done by special teams of police officers who work together to gather information, investigate leads, and take down the bad guys.

So, basically, high policing means dealing with really serious and dangerous crimes and doing whatever it takes to stop them and keep us safe. It's like being a superhero, but instead of capes and powers, you have special training and tools to catch the bad guys.
