High-voltage direct current

High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) is a type of electricity that flows in one direction at a higher voltage than traditional alternatives. That means it can travel over longer distances than normal electricity and can also be used to carry more power. It's sometimes used in places like power plants and from one country to another when sharing electricity. HVDC is a bit like a very fast moving river, but instead of water, it carries electricity!
