Hirsch report

The Hirsch Report is a research paper written in 2005 by Dr. Robert Hirsch. It was commissioned by the United States Department of Energy and suggested that the world needs to start a crash course to develop alternative sources of energy as soon as possible to avoid a serious energy crisis in the future. The report said that oil supplies will start to decline in the next 10 years and that the world must act quickly and invest heavily in alternative sources of energy. The Hirsch Report also said that the world should start to develop more efficient ways of using energy so that more people can benefit from it.
