Historical Jesus

Historical Jesus is a name given to a person who some people believe existed thousands of years ago in ancient Palestine. Most of the information we have about this person comes from the Bible (the holy book of the Christian religion) and is used by historians to learn more about the past. Historical evidence suggests that this person may have existed, although it is hard to be certain without additional proof. He was an important religious figure in the culture of his day, and some of his teachings and actions still have an influence today.
