History of the internal combustion engine

The internal combustion engine is a type of engine that has been around for a long time. It works by burning fuel (like gasoline or diesel) inside a special chamber called a cylinder. When the fuel is burned, it sends a mix of hot gases out the back of the cylinder. This mixing of hot gases creates a force which moves a metal rod connected to a wheel, which causes the wheel to turn. This is what helps power a car or other vehicle.
