Homophobia

Homophobia is when someone is scared or has strong negative feelings towards people who have different gender identities or sexual orientations than they do, or the things they do. For example, some people who are homophobic are scared or hate people who are gay, lesbian, or transgender. This usually means that they don't want to be around these people and they don't think they should have the same rights as other people. It's not ok to be homophobic and it can lead to bullies and people not feeling safe or respected.
