ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Human population planning

Human population planning is when people decide how many kids to have and when to have them. It helps people make sure that there are enough resources, like food and water, for everyone in their family and in the world. People who practice population planning consider how much money, time, and love they have to give to their kids, as well as what their community and planet need. People use different methods to plan their families, like deciding to have a specific number of children, or spacing out when they have kids so that there is some time in between each one.
