Eugenics

Eugenics is the idea that scientists can use science and technology to make people better by changing the genes that are passed down from parents to their children. It's like if you have a trait you don't like about yourself (like blue eyes or curly hair) a scientist would figure out a way to change the gene that causes that trait and then pass that new trait down to future generations. Some people think it is a bad idea because it can be used to make some people seem better than others based on what traits are chosen to be improved.
