Human rights in India

Okay kiddo, do you know what rights are? They are like rules which everybody has to follow to make sure everyone is treated fairly. And Human Rights are those rights which are given to every human being just because they are human, no matter where they come from, what religion they follow, or what they look like.

In India, people have these Human Rights which are protected by the law of the land. For example, every person has the right to live in dignity, which means nobody can hurt or harm them, or make them live in bad conditions. They also have the right to speak their mind, go to school, choose what job they want to do and who they want to marry.

However, sometimes people's rights are violated, which means they are not given these basic rights. This could be because of discrimination based on their gender, caste or religion. So, to make sure that these rights are always protected the Indian Government has made many laws and institutions, like the National Human Rights Commission, which helps people complain about violations of their rights.

So, every person in India has the right to be treated with respect and dignity, and they can always seek help if they feel their rights are being violated.
