ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Human wave attack

Okay, kiddo, so imagine you're playing a game of tag with a lot of friends. You want to tag the person at the other side of the playground, but there are so many people in the middle that you can't get through.

Well, the human wave attack is kind of like that, but it happens during wars. When some people want to attack an enemy army, but they don't have many weapons or they're outnumbered, they might use the human wave attack tactic.

This means that they will send lots of soldiers in a row, one after the other, to keep pushing forward towards the enemy. The soldiers in front will usually have weapons like guns or swords, but the ones behind might only have rocks or even just fists.

It's like a wave of people, coming at the enemy one after the other, trying to overwhelm them with the sheer number of attackers. The idea is to keep the attack going until the enemy is tired, confused, or weakened enough for the attackers to break through and win.

Now, you might be wondering why people would use this tactic, since it seems kind of dangerous and not very fair. Well, some armies might not have access to lots of weapons or advanced technology, while others might have more people than they have weapons for. So, the human wave attack is a way to make up for those disadvantages and still put up a fight.

But, it's important to remember that wars can be very dangerous and scary for everyone involved. So, the best thing we can do is to try to avoid them and work towards peace instead.
