Hydrogen turboexpander-generator

Okay, so imagine you have a toy car that moves forward when you blow air into it. Now, instead of blowing air, we use something called hydrogen.

Hydrogen is a gas that can be used to move things when it's under pressure. So, we use a machine called a turboexpander to create pressure using the hydrogen gas.

The turboexpander spins really fast and makes the hydrogen gas move even faster, kind of like blowing up a balloon really fast. This makes the hydrogen gas push against something called turbine blades, which are kind of like the fins on a toy airplane.

As the hydrogen gas pushes the turbine blades, they spin around really quickly, kind of like the wheels on a toy car. But instead of moving the car forward, the spinning turbine blades turn something called a generator.

The generator is like a magic box that turns the spinning motion of the turbine blades into something called electricity. This is like when you spin a crank on a flashlight and it makes the light turn on.

So with the turboexpander and generator working together, we can use hydrogen to make electricity that we can use to power things like lights or appliances in our homes!
