Hypertext Transfer Protocol

Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is a way computers communicate with each other over the internet. It helps us send information (like a web page or an image) from one computer to another. When you type a website address into your browser, it uses HTTP to send a message to the server (the computer connected to the internet) where the website lives. The server then sends back the website you asked for so that your browser can show it to you. HTTP is like a special language that helps us browse the internet.
