Okay kiddo, so you know how we want things to work a certain way and not break or hurt anyone, right? Well, people who make things like computer programs or buildings or even toys have to think about all the different ways the thing could work well, and all the different things that could go wrong or cause problems. They call all these different things "ilities".
For example, there's "reliability", which means the thing doesn't break easily and keeps working like it's supposed to. There's "usability", which means the thing is easy and intuitive to use, even for someone who has never seen it before. There's "portability", which means the thing could be moved or used in different places without too much trouble.
There's also things like "scalability", which means the thing could work for just a few people or for a whole bunch of people without crashing or slowing down. And "security", which means the thing is protected from bad guys who might try to steal information or cause harm.
So in short, "ilities" are all the different ways we want things to work well and not cause problems, and people who make things have to think about all of them to make sure their thing is the best it can be.
