ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Illegal emigration

Illegal emigration means leaving one country and moving to another without following the proper rules and procedures. Just like playing a game, you have to follow the rules to win, but if you cheat, you might get in trouble. Moving to another country is no different.

When you move to a new country, you have to ask permission from the government in that country. This permission is called a visa. Think of a visa like a permission slip from your parents to go on a field trip. If you don't have a permission slip, you can't go. If you don't have a visa, you can't move to another country.

People who move to a new country without permission are breaking the rules. This is called illegal emigration. It's like sneaking into the movie theater without buying a ticket. It's not allowed and you could get in trouble.

There are many reasons why people might want to move to another country without permission. Some people might be trying to escape danger or poverty in their home country. Others might be looking for a better life, but don't want to wait for permission.

While it's understandable why some people might want to leave their home country, illegal emigration is still breaking the rules. It's important to follow the rules to make sure everyone is safe and treated fairly. So, to sum it up: moving to a new country without permission is not allowed and is called illegal emigration.
