ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Immigrant paradox

The Immigrant Paradox is an idea that even though immigrants often don't have the same resources and opportunities as people who are born in a different country, they usually do better than those people in school, work, and overall well-being. It's kind of like a paradox because people expect immigrants to do worse because they don't have the same resources, but immigrants often do better than people born in the same country.
