Model minority

Model minority is a term used to describe certain racial and ethnic minority groups who tend to do better than average in certain areas such as education, employment, and income. This means that these minority groups have higher levels of academic performance, get better jobs, and make more money than the average person. This term is often used positively, but it can be problematic because it implies that all people in these minority groups have similar achievements, when in reality there is a lot of variation between individuals. Additionally, it can be offensive because it discounts the struggles and difficulties faced by members of these minority groups.
