Immigration and crime

Immigration and crime are two different things, but people sometimes put them together. Immigration involves people coming to live in a new country, and crime involves people breaking laws. People often think that immigrants commit more crime than other people, but often times this isn't true. That is because people who have committed crimes aren't usually allowed to enter countries, so the people who come to those countries don't usually have criminal records. It is important to remember that crime can be committed by anyone, including people born in the same country.
