Impact investing

Impact investing is when a person (or company) wants to make money while also helping the world. They make investments (like buying stocks or bonds) in companies with good products or services that help people or make the world a better place. Examples of companies that do this are companies that supply renewable energy, organic food suppliers, and companies that help people get microfinancing. The idea is to use the money these companies make from their investments to fund projects or causes to help people or the environment.
