ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Inabel

Inabel is a special kind of fabric that is made by hand using a really long and complex process. It comes from the Ilocos region in the Philippines and is made from cotton or abaca fibers.

First, the cotton or abaca fibers are collected and cleaned by hand. Then, they are spun into thread using a spinning wheel. After that, the thread is carefully woven together on a loom to create long pieces of fabric.

Once the fabric is woven, it is washed and beaten with a wooden stick to make it stronger and tighter. This process is repeated multiple times until the fabric is just the right thickness and texture.

Inabel can come in different colors and patterns, depending on the dye and design used. It is often used to make clothing, bags, and other items, and is known for its durability and beauty.

So basically, inabel is a really cool fabric that is made by hand using a lot of steps, and it's super special because it comes from a specific part of the world and has a unique cultural significance.
