ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Piña

Piña is a really sweet and juicy fruit that comes from a big plant called a pineapple. Pineapples grow in warm and sunny places like tropical countries, and they have a spiky and tough exterior that you have to cut off to get to the delicious yellow insides.

Once you cut open a pineapple, you'll notice it's made up of different parts, like the core that you can't eat and the juice that's really tasty. The inside of the pineapple also has these stringy things that you can peel off, and the more you take off, the sweeter and softer the fruit becomes.

Piña is really great to eat on its own, but you can also blend it into smoothies, chop it up for a fruit salad, or even grill it for a yummy dessert. Just remember to always have an adult help you cut and prepare the pineapple, because those spikes can be tricky!
