Incense Route

The Incense Route was a series of ancient trade routes that connected people from the Mediterranean in the West with Asia in the East. Merchants along the route would carry goods such as incense (a perfumy substance made from tree sap), spices, gold and other valuable items back and forth along these routes. People used the Incense Route to make money and build relationships between different cultures.
