ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Independent-spike coding

Independent-spike coding is a way for computers to communicate. It is like when people talk, but instead of using words, computers use tiny electric signals to "talk" to each other. Independent-spike coding uses these electric signals, also called spikes, to represent information. The spikes are sent out one at a time, so each spike is independent of the others. By sending out these spikes one after the other, computers can tell each other information and communicate.
