Indigenous Futurisms

Indigenous Futurism is a term used to refer to a way of thinking about the future and storytelling that is grounded in the experiences, knowledge, and cultures of Indigenous and Native American people. It is an imaginative way to look to the future that celebrates and honors Indigenous values, storytelling, and practices. Indigenous Futurism uses science fiction and other imaginative genres to explore and re-imagine Indigenous identities for the future. It is a way for Indigenous and Native people to look to the future with optimism, pride, and hope.
